BEING FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE
As a business person I know just how hard you have worked to earn your money...and you deserve to know that your tax dollars are being used effectively and efficiently. North Myrtle Beach has some of the lowest taxes in the state, but we can always do better. I will work to increase transparency, eliminate any wasteful spending and prioritize the services that matter most to our residents.

KEEPING CRIME LOW

While some cities across the country are experiencing out of control crime, North Myrtle Beach remains a safe and secure community. I will work with local officials to ensure our law enforcement community and first responders have the resources and training they need to keep our homes, families and businesses safe.

CONTROLLING GROWTH

Protecting North Myrtle Beach means putting a stop to uncontrolled growth...by implementing common sense practices like lowering density and making sure our local roads and infrastructure can keep up BEFORE any new projects are started we can welcome new neighbors while looking out for residents.

ABOUT JERI:

Jeri McCumbee has announced her plans to run for North Myrtle Beach City Council Windy Hill District.

McCumbee has built a reputation as a reliable local business leader, beginning her career with MedCare (formerly Access Medical Center) in Windy Hill in 1992 and eventually working her way up to partner. She continues to serve as Director of Operations for the company from their Windy Hill office.

Jeri McCumbee is a lifelong resident of Horry County and an active member of the community. McCumbee was appointed by Republican State Senator Greg Hembree to the SC Education Oversight Committee and has served on a variety of boards and commissions including the McLeod Health Foundation Board, the NMB Chamber Board and the YMCA North Strand Advisory Board. As a member of the North Myrtle Beach Women’s club McCumbee founded the Purses with Purpose that has raised over $600,000 to assist local charities.

McCumbee is a mother and stepmother to six wonderful girls and has 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.

McCumbee has pledged to run a positive, grass-roots campaign focused on the issues that matter most to the people of North Myrtle Beach. She plans an official campaign kick-off later this year.
